Opposite of Adults: An Amplify Anthology
In 2017, the St. Albert Amplify Festival Youth Advisory Committee compiled its first anthology of youth art, titled Opposite of Adults. Edited by the Committee, this book highlights the high calibre of writing and visual art created by the young artists in our community.
Due to popular demand, we have printed an additional run of the book in order to make it publicly available for purchase. We did a small run, so there is a limited number of books available. We recommend getting your copies sooner rather than later.
Purchase your own copy and support Amplify!

The St. Albert Amplify Festival provides an inclusive space for youth to express their truest sense of identity through the arts. By youth for youth, the festival empowers young people to explore their artistic potential, while at the same time cultivating a sense of purpose and belonging for their day-to-day life. By creating opportunities for success, Amplify develops resiliencies in youth and gives them the tools they need to overcome the pressing social issues within their generation; such as mental health, bullying, and body image.
When you make the decision to pledge to Amplify, you are actively supporting youth on their artistic journey—helping them develop a greater understanding of who they want to be. Your donation will go towards sustaining the Festival by supporting workshops, events and infrastructure needed to produce the event.
On behalf of the Amplify Committee, we would like to thank you for your consideration of contributing to this campaign.
