Criminal Record/Child Welfare Checks
A Requirement for Working with Youth
A Criminal Record/Child Welfare Check is required for all volunteers 18 years of age or older. This practice is now commonplace among volunteer-based groups working with youth in Canada in many different aspects of sport, recreation and culture. We are bound by the standards of due diligence to ensure that a Criminal Record/Child Welfare Check is conducted and received before we can consider your application to volunteer

Once you have filled out and returned the volunteer application form, we will send you an email with further details about volunteering at the Festival. Attached to this email will be a letter confirming your status as a volunteer and requesting a criminal record check be obtained from the St. Albert RCMP detachment free of charge.
Two pieces of current government-issued ID is required to obtain a Police Information Check - one of these pieces must be a photo ID.
