Call For Poets

Bring your wise, wild, and wacky words to Amplify’s Poetry Open Mic Night starting at 7 p.m.on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Confections Cake Co. Whether you’re there to perform or to simply enjoy the work of St. Albert’s young creatives, warm up your snapping fingers, grab some dessert and settle in for an evening of poetry performance that’s sure to vacillate from emotional to playful to honest to irreverent and back again.

Roughly how long will it take for you to read the piece? We ask that all pieces being presented take no longer then 5 minutes to read. Feel free to read excerpts from longer works.

Please give us a short (under 200-word) bio, written in the third person, about yourself. Tell us how you got into writing and why you are passionate about writing. If this is your first time sharing your work, let us know that too.
