Theatre Rental Rates

The Arden offers a seating capacity of 497, including 2 designated wheelchair seats with attendants. "Local" entities are businesses, groups and individuals based in St. Albert.
 

Performance Intermissions

Performances exceeding 60 minutes must schedule at least one 20-minute intermission. A $200 penalty may be charged at the discretion of City Administration for non-conformance.

Reciprocal Use Rentals

Only schools within these 3 districts qualify for the Reciprocal Use rates: Greater St. Albert Catholic School District #734; The Greater North Central Francophone Education Region #2; and St. Albert Public Schools #5565 (schools that are located within the geographic boundary of the City, provided their board is a party to this agreement).

Other Theatre Fees

Meal Breaks

To ensure no penalties, meal breaks should be given after 4 hours of work. Lack of a 1-hour meal break after 5 hours of labour. will result in financial penalties – $50/hr/staff.

Statutory Holidays

There is a $100/hr surcharge for the use of The Arden Theatre or Progress Hall on statutory holidays + staff overtime.



Progress Hall Rates

Progress Hall – Includes AV + 1 Staff  (Capacity: 80–120)$50 for the first hour; $30 for each subsequent hour
Progress Hall  – Day Rate (maximum 8 hours) includes AV and 1 FOH$250

Equipment Rentals

Video Projector$75/day
Piano Rental: 7’ Steinway Grand (main stage use only)$75/day
Follow Spot – Plus associated labour (min. 4 hrs)$75/day + labour

Crew Services

There is a 4-hour minimum and overtime is charged at a 1.5 hourly rate.

Capital Enhancement Fee (Facility Fee)

The Arden Theatre has a full-service box office. Renters are required to sell tickets through the Arden Theatre's ticketing platform. Charges are based on ticket prices and on the number of tickets sold.
