
Nomination Guidelines
Guidelines for Nominating
- Please read the guidelines to ensure that your nomination form meets all eligibility requirements and is completed in full.
- Late nominations will not be accepted.
- Incomplete forms will not be accepted.
- The names of all nominees will be published.
Nominees
- The nominee must have a significant connection to St. Albert. A significant connection is defined as: live in, be a student in, work in, have grown up in or spent a significant portion of their lives in St. Albert.
- Nominees will be considered for one category only.
- If multiple category nominations do occur, the nominee will be contacted to determine what category best suits them.
- Incomplete packages will not be reviewed by the jury.
- Past Arts Awards nominees can be nominated again in the same category.
- Past Arts Awards recipients cannot be nominated again in the same category.
- Photo requirements must be adhered to.
Nominator
- Can be an individual, organization or business.
- Can nominate an artist in one category only.
- Can be a family member.
- Artists can self-nominate.
How Are Nominees Recognized?
The nominees of the Mayor’s Arts Awards will receive the following:
- A letter from the Mayor of St. Albert.
- Mention in a news release announcing the award nominees sent to local print, television and radio media.
- Mention on the City of St. Albert website.
- Highlighted on the City of St. Albert's social media channels.
HOW ARE RECIPIENTS RECOGNIZED?
- Produced content that can be used to showcase your talents on your social media channels.
- Featured article in the arts and cultural newsletter, St. Albert LIVE.
- Opportunity to perform at events that the City produces (as artistic discipline allows).
- Featured on the City of St. Albert’s social media channels.
- Invitation to an exclusive reception and recipient announcement with the Mayor of St. Albert.
