Lifetime Achievement in the Arts Nominations

Lifetime Achievement in the Arts is awarded to artists who have made long-standing and significant achievements throughout an entire career. This includes artistic practice, recognition by peers and the artist’s contribution to the local and broader artistic community.

Deadline for nominations: October 17, 2025, at 5 p.m.*

*Please note: all nominees will be requested to provide further information on their artistic experience. This information must also be submitted by the October 17 deadline. Get your nominations in early!

Lifetime Achievement Nomination Guidelines

Guidelines for the Lifetime Achievement in the Arts Cultural Wall of Fame:

  1. Potential inductees will be evaluated for consideration based on the following criteria:  
    • Outstanding achievement in their arts and cultural field;  
    • A measurable impact on the community of St. Albert that could take the form of, but is not limited to:  
      • Regional, provincial or national media exposure of the community of St. Albert due to this individual/organization and/or their work.  
      • Distinguished accomplishment of a body of work or activity. Example: a Juno award in music or Giller Prize in literature.
      • Positive economic impact as a result of a body of work or activity.
      • A legacy deemed to be remarkable.
    • A mastery of their craft as demonstrated by a long-standing career or body of work that has received national and international acclaim or award by their peers.
    • Currently is a resident of or has spent a significant amount of time in St. Albert.
    • People may be recognized posthumously.    
  2. Award recipients will be determined by a sub-committee of the Arts Development Advisory Committee (The Jury).
  3. The Jury reserves the right to not award based on its judgment of the nomination applications.
  4. The Jury’s decision in all matters is final.
  5. A maximum of one (1) individual or group will be inducted each year.
  6. Individuals or arts and culture groups that have been nominated for induction and meet the above requirements but are not selected will remain on the eligibility list for four years or two cycles of awards selection.
