Judgement Criteria

The Jury will consist of members from the Arts Development Advisory Committee and external professional advice as needed, to adjudicate the recipients of awards and make recommendations to Council. The Jury may recommend that an award not be given in one or more categories at their discretion.  

The Jury will consider the following when deciding upon recipients:

• Artistic Impact.
• Sustained development over a minimum of three years (except for Youth Artist).
• Community Impact.

Jury Information

• The Jury consists of individuals who are representative of the diversity and professional expertise in the local arts community.
• Awards may not necessarily be presented in each category every year.
• The Jury reserves the right not to give an award based on its judgment of the applications.
• The Jury’s decision in all matters is final.
