Artistic Awards Nominees

Congratulations on your nomination for the 2026 Mayor’s Celebration of the Arts Awards! 

The Mayor’s Celebration of the Arts Awards recognize the artists, volunteers, advocates and supporters in our community who demonstrate a clear commitment to arts and culture in St. Albert.

Artistic Categories:

  • St. Albert Gazette Arts Champion  
  • Emerging Artist 
  • Excellence in Arts Teaching 
  • Mid-Career Artist 
  • Youth Artist

Artistic Category Nominees must fill out this form detailing their artistic experience in St. Albert by October 17 at 5 p.m. to be considered for an award. 

Artistic Category Nominee Guidelines

Nominees

  • The nominee must have a significant connection to St. Albert. A significant connection is defined as: live in, be a student in, work in, have grown up in or spent a significant portion of their lives in St. Albert.
  • Nominees will be considered for one award category only.
  • If multiple category nominations do occur, the nominee will be contacted to determine what category best suits them.
  • Incomplete packages will not be reviewed by the jury.
  • Past Arts Awards nominees can be nominated again in the same category.
  • Past Arts Awards recipients cannot be nominated again in the same category.
  • Photo requirements must be adhered to.

How Are Nominees Recognized?

The nominees of the Mayor’s Arts Awards will receive the following:

  • A letter from the Mayor of St. Albert.
  • Mention in a news release announcing the award nominees sent to local print, television and radio media.
  • Mention on the City of St. Albert website.
  • Highlighted on the City of St. Albert's social media channels.

HOW ARE RECIPIENTS RECOGNIZED?  

  • Produced content that can be used to showcase your talents on your social media channels. 
  • Featured article in the arts and cultural newsletter, St. Albert LIVE.  
  • Opportunity to perform at events that the City produces (as artistic discipline allows).  
  • Featured on the City of St. Albert’s social media channels.  
  • Invitation to an exclusive reception and recipient announcement with the Mayor of St. Albert.

    • Square aspect ratio (height must be equal to width).

  • Format:
    • The image must be a JPG file format, minimum 300 dpi.
  • File Size:
    • The image must be a minimum 1 MB in size and a maximum 5 MB in size.

 **For Community Groups such choirs and orchestras a group photo is not a requirement. If you do not have a photograph, please send a logo for print in the program.
