
Lifetime Achievement in the Arts Nominees
Congratulations on your nomination for the 2026 Mayor’s Celebration of the Arts Awards!
The St. Albert Mayor’s Celebration of the Arts Awards was created to celebrate excellence in the arts in St. Albert and to emphasize the importance of the arts to the community of St. Albert.
The recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award will be that year’s inductee into the Cultural Wall of Fame.
The nominee must fill out this form detailing their artistic experience in St. Albert by October 17, 2025, at 5 p.m. to be considered for an award.
Lifetime Achievement Nominee Guidelines
Guidelines for the Lifetime Achievement in the Arts Cultural Wall of Fame:
- Potential inductees will be evaluated for consideration based on the following criteria:
- Outstanding achievement in their arts and cultural field;
- A measurable impact on the community of St. Albert that could take the form of, but is not limited to:
- Regional, provincial or national media exposure of the community of St. Albert due to this individual/organization and/or their work.
- Distinguished accomplishment of a body of work or activity. Example: a Juno award in music or a Giller Prize in literature.
- Positive economic impact as a result of a body of work or activity.
- A legacy deemed to be remarkable.
- A mastery of their craft as demonstrated by a long-standing career or body of work that has received national and international acclaim or an award by their peers.
- Currently, is a resident of or has spent a significant amount of time in St. Albert. People may be recognized posthumously.
- The Mayor's Celebration of the Arts Awards Lifetime Achievement recipient will be showcased in a video featuring an interview with the award-winner, to be published on the official St. Albert website. Each recipient will be honoured with a $1,000 cash prize, and the inductee will be formally invited to attend an exclusive reception and recipient announcement with the Mayor of St. Albert.
- Award recipients will be determined by the decision of members of the Arts Development Advisory Committee (The Jury).
- The Jury reserves the right to not award based on its judgment of the nomination applications.
- The Jury’s decision in all matters is final.
- A maximum of one (1) individual or group will be inducted each year.
- Individuals or arts and culture groups that have been nominated for induction and meet the above requirements but are not selected will remain on the eligibility list for four years or two cycles of awards selection.
