
Element Park Mosaic Project
Project Description
This opportunity called for Artists who could create an exterior mosaic to be embedded on the blank side of an outdoor bouldering wall at Erin Ridge North's newest park, Element Park. The wall will serve as a dynamic feature within the park, designed to captivate both locals and visitors, drawing them in for a wide range of engaging park experiences.
Timeline
This project is ongoing and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2026.
Artist Selection
We are pleased to announce the selection of Red Knott Studios as the artists for the Element Park Mosaic Project. Read a brief description of the artists below. Erin Pankratz, born in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, is a renowned sculptor and mosaic artist whose passion and innovation have garnered international recognition. Her work has been exhibited around the world, with highlights including exhibitions in France, Japan, Italy and the United States. Erin is recognized globally as a leader in the contemporary mosaic arts movement.

Christian Peres Gibaut, originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, brings a multifaceted approach that combines artistic creativity with strong project management. He has implemented process improvement strategies across various organizations and has created mosaic murals in Latin America and Canada. He brings a diverse skill set, providing strategic and creative knowledge.
Opportunities to Participate
A critical component to the development of this public art project is thoughtful engagement with the public who know about and use the space where the art will be installed. Several opportunities to engage with the artists occurred last year and have now concluded. An additional opportunity to meet the artists and learn more about their project is detailed below:
