Visual Arts Classes

The City of St. Albert has been supporting community access to Visual Arts classes for over 25 years to the St. Albert and greater Capital Region.

Cultural Services aims to enrich the quality of life of the citizens of St. Albert and provide exciting opportunities through art-based programming by ensuring continued access to visual arts programming. Be part of St. Albert’s vital arts community by participating in one of the many Visual Arts Classes offered by the Art Gallery of St. Albert.

Visual Arts classes facilitate an understanding and appreciation of the visual arts in the community through the encouragement, discussion, and interaction of participants enrolled in the programs, along with providing professional development opportunities for practicing artists within the community.

Through an enhanced collaborative partnership with Arts and Heritage Foundation of St. Albert (AHF), the Art Gallery of St. Albert offers classes and workshops throughout the year to adults and children in both fine arts and craft related media, in four dedicated studio spaces operated by Cultural Services, at St. Albert Place.  Classes include pottery, painting, drawing, quilting, fibre art, floral arts, sculpture, printmaking and woodcarving.
