Involving children in arts experiences strengthens their social, expressive and cognitive skills, which, in turn, improves school performance. In short, exposure to events like the Children’s Festival puts kids on a solid path of innovative thinking, creative expression and self-confidence. Selected programming is presented in both official languages, and each performance and workshop has carefully researched curriculum connections. The Festival is also programmed to allow kids to not only experience a variety of performance disciplines, but also cultures – including Canada’s Indigenous Peoples and those who helped shape our country.

Planning Your Visit

A typical day at the festival includes at least one Feature Performance, a variety of Paid Activities and time to explore the site and enjoy free outdoor entertainment. Complete festival programming will be released in late Januray.
