Getting Crafty with SAPVAC

It’s Day 9 of the International Children’s Festival’s of the Arts #40DaysofPLAY and today a member of The St. Albert Visual Arts Council (SAPVAC) <link> will be we teaching us how to make butterflies out of coffee filters and booklets made from recycled items that you have around your house. Just watch these step-by-step instructional videos and don’t forget to follow all provincial public health measures when participating in 40 Days of Play activities.

Coffee Filter Butterflies

Materials

  • Coffee filters
  • Washable felt pens
  • Spray bottle
  • Pipe cleaner 

Recycled Booklet

Materials

  • Cereal box or old file folder
  • Glue
  • Scrap paper from the recycle bin (brown paper bag works great)
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Sheets of paper
  • Push pin or tack
  • 2 paper clips
  • Needle and thick thread

The St. Albert Place Visual Arts Council

The St. Albert Place Visual Arts Council (SAPVAC) is a registered not-for-profit charitable organization who, together with the community, advocates, promotes, supports, and strengthens the visual arts and craft experience in St. Albert and region.
