Outreach Programs
Adopt-A-School
The Adopt-A-School Program matches donors with schools to provide Festival experiences to schools facing financial challenges.
We believe that access to the arts is vital to a child’s development, and our Adopt-A-School Program provides participating schools with a full day of learning at no cost.
What can your Adopt-A-School donation bring to a child at the International Children’s Festival of the Arts?
- $15 - pays for one ticket for one child to see one fabulous performance!
- $200 – pays for one bus to bring 50 children to the Children’s Festival.
- $500 – pays for performance tickets and busing for one entire class!
- $1200 – pays for performance tickets and busing for two classes to come for a full day to experience the Children’s Festival and all it has to offer.
- $2000 - pays for performance tickets and busing for 100 students to come for a full day to experience the Children’s Festival and all it has to offer.
- $5000 – pays for performance tickets and busing for an entire small school to bring all students Kindergarten to Grade 6 to the Children’s Festival. The children will experience world-class programming in music, dance and theatre, as well as literary, visual, and circus arts to spark their imagination.
- Priceless - The look on the children’s faces as they are introduced to a bigger, more exciting world where they can dream big and discover their own creative potential.
Project Smile
The Festival strives to make artistic and cultural programming accessible to every child. For some children, a visit to the Festival is not possible. Project Smile is an outreach initiative designed to bring the colour, sounds and laughter of the Festival to local hospitals and long-term care facilities for patients and their families to enjoy.
