When it comes to quirky entertainment, roving artists are some of the funniest, most original oddballs on the planet. Natural kid magnets, these larger-than-life artists spark countless imaginations with everything from mesmerizing hula hoops and jaw-dropping stilt walkers to colourful musicians, storytellers and comedians.

Demmi Dupri

Demmi Dupri is a children’s entertainer known for bringing big smiles, playful chaos and imaginative fun wherever she roves. Specializing in puppets, music and balloon twisting, Demmi creates joyful, interactive moments for kids and families alike. This year, she’s adding extra excitement with rock-and-roll clown shenanigans, roving dinosaur puppets and prehistoric adventures that pop up when you least expect them. Whether twisting balloons, jamming on a tiny instrument or introducing a curious dino friend, Demmi’s roving performances turn the festival grounds into a place of surprise, laughter and wonder.

Hong De Lion and Dragon Dance

Often seen in festive celebrations and performed by a skilled team whose job is to bring the motionless body to life. Dragons are believed to bring good luck to people, which is reflected in their power, dignity, wisdom and auspiciousness. The length of a Dragon can range from 25 to 35 meters for the more acrobatic models, and up to 50 to 70 meters for the largest, parade and ceremonial styles. It is believed that the longer the dragon, the more luck it will bring.

Loppity the Clown

With ears that you would recognize anywhere and a flair for finding magic in the simplest things, Loppity is no ordinary clown; she's a whimsical wonder! Ryan Arcand is a well-known First Nations drummer and singer in the St. Albert region. To Arcand, the drum is a way of life.
