For parents and caregivers, we have convenient stroller parking and a quiet lounge for nursing, diaper changes and down time. Join us for activities like yoga, salsa, and storytime in our ever-growing munchkin metropolis!

Mercedes Bender (owner of Live it All In) and Lindsay MacDonald (a longtime partner of the Children’s Festival) have generously taken on leadership roles for 2018 Toddler Town. This includes being an integral part of planning that began in June of 2017. A big thanks to them both for making this year the best year yet!

Come toddle around in Toddler Town!

2018 Community Partners

City of St. Albert Recreation and Parks (Saturday and Sunday ONLY)
Active and engaged communities enjoy better health and a higher quality of life. St. Albert’s Recreation and Parks Department wants to be a catalyst for getting residents and visitors active – mentally, physically and socially – through the provision of excellent recreational facilities, amenities, and programs. Recreation and Parks will be in Toddler Town (Saturday and Sunday ONLY) activating in our outdoor fun zone. They will be highlighting some of their toddler programming.

 Early Years Coalition (Daily)
The Early Years Coalition (EYC) is an organization that works together to inform, engage and inspire families and communities to support the development of young children. There is a focus on the following areas of development: communication, emotional maturity, physical health and well-being, social competence and language and writing skills. The EYC will be providing the very popular craft corner where children can get in touch with their creative side.

Gymboree Play & Music (Daily)
Gymboree Play & Music has been fostering creativity and confidence in children ages 0-5 for over 40 years. Today there are over 700 locations in 40+ countries, making us the global leader in early childhood development programs. Designed by experts in both education and in play, our age-appropriate activities help develop the cognitive, physical and social skills of children as they play. Our programs are also recognized for their unique approach to parent involvement – which encourages participation in and understanding of each child’s development. Gymboree will be providing a fun play area in Toddler Town with different activities daily. You will also find them on the main stage (see schedule for times).

Live it All In – Learning through play, parenting, and everything in between (Daily)
Uninterrupted self-guided sensory play is one of the finest forms of play and education that a child of any age can be offered. Live it All In’s goal is to help parents and caregivers incorporate a variety of learning through play styles and creative processes by offering a range of ideas, instructions and services. Live it All In have provided sensory bins in Toddler Town for children to play and explore.

Music for Young Children (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday)
Music for Young Children believes that music is a gift that lasts a lifetime, and all children and families deserve quality music education. They have developed a curriculum that is created to build and sustain a wide and firm music foundation. Students learn how to play piano, read music and other musical elements such as sight reading, composition and ensemble. MYC will be in Toddler Town on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with their music zone providing fluid activities. You can also participate in one of their classes on Saturday only (see schedule for times).

Sportball (Daily)
Sportball encourages kids to “play with passion, play for fun.” Their programming focuses on developing appropriate skills through non-competitive sports, games and activities. Sportball have provided the obstacle course you will find in the outdoor fun zone of Toddler Town.

St. Albert Gymnastics Club (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday ONLY)
The St. Albert Gymnastics Club maintains a philosophy that gymnastics is above all else, fun, while stressing skill development, fitness, safety and the fundamental discipline necessary to achieve these objectives. They provide a wide variety of programs in a safe and positive learning environment. St. Albert Gymnastics Club will be in Toddler Town on Wed, Friday and Sunday offering diverse toddler gymnastics activities each day. You can also enjoy performances and classes on the main stage (see schedule for dates and times).

St. Albert Nature School (Tuesday–Friday ONLY)
St. Albert Nature School (SANS) is a non-profit education-based organization committed to teaching children through experiential nature-based programming. This is not your typical classroom! Rain or shine, hot or cold, students spend their time outside connecting to the environment around and utilizing its tools for intellectual, physical and emotional development. Meetings take place on the logs and stumps that make up the forest; students utilize sticks and rocks to practice their early literacy or numeracy skills; and seasonal centres focus on harvesting the fall garden, building the winter snow forts and “cooking” in the spring mud kitchen. Learning is hands-on and experiences are used to build on one another. SANS will be providing nature-based activities Tues-Friday ONLY in our outdoor play zone.

St. Albert Public Library
The St. Albert Public Library offers daily children’s programs in an environment that invites you to learn in a vibrant and supportive space. As well as providing storytelling on the main stage of Toddler Town (see schedule for times), the St. Albert Public Library will also be providing a “library” of books which you will find hung around Toddler Town for you or your toddler to enjoy.
