Cultivating Front Yards

Thank you everyone that participated in the 2017 Cultivating Front Yards Program. Acknowledgments are now closed. Garden stakes will be delivered to the acknowledged homes between August 3 and 11, 2017.

A program for everyone!

Help us recognize St. Albert residents and businesses that make their front yards beautiful. Acknowledge a beautiful yard between June 3 - July 21, 2017 or submit your Canada 150 Yard video to the St. Albert Gazette.

Acknowledgment Categories:

Art in Front Yard
A yard with one or more pieces that portray art in some fashion; botanical art will receive special attention.

Edible Front Yard
A yard incorporating edible fruits and/or plants into the landscape design. Can include vegetables, grains, fruiting trees, berry bushes, etc.

Business Front Yard
A yard with aesthetic landscaping that offers biodiversity and botanical arts.

Xeriscaped Front Yard
A yard using drought resistant plants and water conserving techniques such as mulch.

Beautiful Front Yard
A yard with a pleasing aesthetic, using plants. Landscaping creates beauty and exemplifies Botanical Arts at its best.
