Our Path
The Path we are Forging Together

- We are developing neighbour-to-neighbour relationships with nearby Indigenous communities.
- We have a Land Acknowledgement
- We consider Indigenous perspectives in our decision making.
- We have provided all staff with training materials on Indigenous history and culture.
- We meet regularly with representatives of the Indigenous community, vising local First Nations and taking part in their events.
- We support grassroots efforts to acknowledge special days that are significant to the Indigenous community.
- National Ribbon Skirt Day
- National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two Spirit People (Red Dress Day)
- Moose Hide Campaign Day
- Métis Spring Festival
- National Indigenous Peoples Day
- Treaty Six Recognition and Territorial Acknowledgement Day
- National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Orange Shirt Day)
- International Inuit Day

- Where appropriate, we host events and recognize Indigenous days of significance.
- We share a selection of relevant resources, to help our community learn more about Indigenous history and perspectives.
