Styrofoam recycling is now available at the Mike Mitchell Recycling Depot. Acceptable items include clean, white styrofoam blocks from electronics, appliances or furniture. For more information, click here.
The Mike Mitchell Recycling Depot will be piloting extended hours of operation for the summer months. From July 7 to September 30, the Recycling Depot will be open 7 days a week, excluding statutory holidays. For more information, including the hours of operation, click here.
Need to get rid of that old couch or washer? Large Item Drop-Off event at the Public Works parking lot (7 Chevigny St.) on July 27, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each item requires 2 “Extra Garbage” tags which must be purchased prior to event.

Oops! Hazardous waste such as batteries, electronics and paint do not belong in your curbside carts or bags. Please bring these items to the City’s Mike Mitchell Recycling Depot to be recycled or disposed of safely. No fees for disposal for St. Albert residents.
