Tuesday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Wednesday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Thursday 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.


What can I bring to the Recycling Depot?

  • Recyclables

Please keep paper products separate according to bins at the Recycling Depot.

Books (hard and soft cover) Wet or soiled paper products 
Boxboard (cereal boxes, packaging, etc.) Soiled pizza boxes
Corrugated cardboard Shredded paper 
Catalogues, magazines   *These items can go in the Green Organics Cart

Food cans and tins    
Newspapers and flyers    
Paper waste    
  • Electronics

Acceptable Unacceptable
Televisions Large appliances (e.g. stove, fridge, etc. See Seasonal Waste Programs for options)
Computers, monitors, towers and accessories (keyboards, mouse, etc.)    
Cell phones, telephones, answering machines    
Radios, CD players, mp3 players, speakers    
Cables and wires    
Printers, photocopies, scanners    
Laptops, tablets and accessories    
VHS, DVD, BluRay players    
Small appliances such as blender, coffee maker, hand mixer, etc.    
  • Tires

The Depot accepts passenger vehicle and bicycle tires as well as the rims. The following can be dropped off:

  • Car, light/medium truck tires - rim diameter up to 19.5"
  • Off-the-road tires - rim diameter up to 39"
  • Bicycle tires

What items will not be accepted at the Recycling Depot?

The City of St. Albert does not accept the following items:

Appliances Paint brushes, rags or rollers
Biomedical waste Plastics
Ceramics Plate glass/Pyrex
Expired medications Pressurized gases
Explosives Propane tanks or canisters
Fireworks Radioactive waste
Gasoline/diesel or any other fuels or their containers Rubber
