Mike Mitchell Recycling Depot

From July 7 to September 30, 2019 the Recycling Depot will have extended hours on Sunday and Monday as a pilot. The Depot will remain closed on Monday, August 5 for Heritage Day and Monday, September 2 for Labour Day.

As part of the pilot, we will be requesting identification (e.g. driver's licence or St. Albert utility bill) for information gathering purposes.

Monday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. *July 7 to September 30 - Closed Stat. Holidays
Tuesday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Wednesday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Thursday 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.  *July 7 to September 30 


What can I bring to the Recycling Depot?

  • Recyclables

Please keep paper products separate according to bins at the Recycling Depot.

Printers, photocopies, scanners    
Laptops, tablets and accessories    
VHS, DVD, BluRay players    
Small appliances such as blender, coffee maker, hand mixer, etc.    
  • Tires

The Depot accepts passenger vehicle and bicycle tires as well as the rims. The following can be dropped off:

  • Car, light/medium truck tires - rim diameter up to 19.5"
  • Off-the-road tires - rim diameter up to 39"
  • Bicycle tires

What items will not be accepted at the Recycling Depot?

The City of St. Albert does not accept the following items:

Appliances Paint brushes, rags or rollers
Biomedical waste Plastics
Ceramics Plate glass/Pyrex
Expired medications Pressurized gases
Explosives Propane tanks or canisters
Fireworks Radioactive waste
Gasoline/diesel or any other fuels or their containers Rubber
