Waste Reduction Week 2021

Waste Reduction Week begins on the third Monday in October each year (October 18-24, 2021).

Each day, a new theme is presented to raise awareness about different types of waste and to encourage Canadians to reduce their own waste footprint through education, tips, and tricks.

Waste Reduction Week Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger Hunt Instructions:

1. Throughout the Red Willow Trail, starting behind St. Albert Place, there are seven clues – one for each day of Waste Reduction Week. Each clue will have information for each theme day, tips and tricks for how you can reduce your waste, and a word.

2. Collect the word on all seven posters and solve the puzzle. 

3. Once you’ve solved the puzzle, fill out the form below to be entered to win your very own waste reduction kit.

If you're unable to visit the Red Willow Trail, you can view the clues online.
