Canada Day Volunteers

We need volunteers ages 13+ to fill exciting roles for the activities happening at Servus Credit Union Place!

Volunteer Benefits

Volunteer Position Descriptions

  • Ambassador: Walking around the event site handing out flags, tattoos and other cool swag! 
  • Colouring Contest Station Attendant: Making sure participants get a colouring sheet to complete, collecting the completed pictures, ensuring the station remains tidy and supplies are replenished when needed.
  • Scavenger Hunt Station Attendant: Making sure participants get a scavenger hunt sheet, explaining any information regarding the scavenger hunt, and collecting all completed scavenger hunt forms. Ensuring the station remains tidy and supplies are replenished when needed.
  • Cookie Distribution: Helping hand out cookies at the cookie station.
  • Information Booth at Servus Place: Handing out site maps, flags, tattoos and stickers, as well as answering general event information at the information booth.
  • Information Booth at Millenium Park: Handing out flags, tattoos, stickers, cookies for the outdoor movies.
  • Line Control: Control lines for face painters, airbrush tattoo artists, balloon artists, and inflatables.
  • Parking Guard: Controlling parking access for VIPs and dignitaries (must be 18+).

Volunteer Guidelines

  • Minimum age 13 years. Youth volunteers require parental consent. Consent forms will be sent out via email.
  • Volunteer assignments are subject to change (notice will be given whenever possible).
  • Volunteers must wear their t-shirts at all times during their volunteer shifts. The shirt is yours to keep afterwards!
  • Volunteers must behave in a manner which reflects positively on the City of St. Albert.
  • Volunteers must treat other volunteers, staff, and the public with dignity and respect.
