St. Albert Celebrates Canada Day presented by True North Heating and Cooling is a chance to dress in your best red and white and join the community in celebrating this wonderful country we call home! Join the City of St. Albert on July 1 for an exciting day filled with family friendly activities and exciting entertainment! City parks, facilities, and historical sites will see a fun variety of events, allowing for residents of all ages and interests to celebrate this historic anniversary!

The day celebration will continue to be at Riel Recreation Park. There is parking on site or Park and Ride will be available. The park is located along the Red Willow Trail System and there will be a bike check for those who would like to take advantage of our wonderful trail system and bike or walk to the event. The celebration will include a concert, treats, games, inflatables, crafts and much more. In the evening, a night concert presented by Servus Credit Union will take place at St. Albert Place followed by fireworks presented by Kinsmen Club of St. Albert at 11 p.m. at Mission Park. Coca-Cola Photo Contest Rules

Due to Canada Day activities, the Rotary Park parking lot will be closed starting at 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 30 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 1. The Rotary Park boat launch will also be closed to the public from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 1.

Food Bank donations

Donations will be accepted from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Information Booth at Riel Recreation Park.

Paul Woida – This “one-man band” is turning heads and winning the hearts of new fans everywhere with his catchy hooks, emotive vocals, unique live show and incredible musicianship. His music can be described as pop/singer-songwriter and he is often compared to Ed Sheeran, Jason Mraz and James Bay.

Shuttle Service

St. Albert Transit will be providing a FREE shuttle service from 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. from Village Transit Station to the Canada Day festivities around St. Albert.

What to Bring

To get the most out of your Canada Day, please consider bringing the following: lawn chair, sunscreen, water bottle, blanket (to sit on the grass), umbrella (for shade and in the event of rain), hat, and comfortable walking shoes.
