Keep them Healthy and Active all Summer Long
Summer programs are offered at a variety of locations throughout the city, including Servus Credit Union Place and a variety of local clubhouses, arenas and parks. Please be sure to carefully read the guide and your confirmation letter to confirm the program location you are registering your child.

Preschool Camps Half-Days: Ages 3 – 5
These half-day camps are perfect for your preschooler. Children will have a great time exploring different program themes, participating in games, crafts, songs and other activities. Campers need to pack a nutritious snack and must be independent in the bathroom to register. Morning and afternoon program options are available. A link to the Program Information Letter are emailed on the Thursday prior to your registered camp with an activity schedule and what to bring for camp.
Adventure Camps 3/4 Days: Ages 5 – 7
These ¾ day camps will be a blast for your early elementary child not quite ready for a full-day camp experience. Each day, campers will have tons of fun making crafts, jumping around in the bouncy castles, and playing active games in and around Servus Place. We will also get a chance to play in the Landrex Water Play Centre in Servus Place. A link to the Program Information Letter is emailed out the Thursday prior to your registered camp with an activity schedule and details of what to bring. Pre-care is available. Post-care is not available for these ¾ day programs. A healthy snack and a lunch is required.
Children’s Full-Day Camps
These full-day camps are perfect for school-aged children. Children will enjoy fun recreational opportunities that follow themes outlined in each program description. Select camps running out of Servus Place will go on a field trip during the week. If a camp is going on a field trip it will be indicated in the camp description or in the Program Information Letter. A link to the Program Information Letter will be emailed out on the Thursday prior to your registered camp with an activity schedule and what to bring.
Pre and Post Camp Care: Ages 3 – 12
If you’re looking for pre-care and/or post-care for your child while they’re at Servus Place for a summer camp we’ve got you covered. Participants are offered a variety of activity choices including quiet activities, board games, stories, and arts and crafts in the Active Living Centre located on the second floor. Pre-care is available for the full day camps, ¾ day camps, and morning ½ day Preschool camps. Post-care is available for full day camps and ½ day afternoon preschool camps from 4:00-5:00 pm.
Youth Fitness Programs: Ages 12 – 17
These camps are perfect for youth who want to stay active this summer with different fitness experiences.
- Teens of Steel: Ages 12-17
This fun teen training program will provide the tools needed to create a safe workout routine. This course will include: education on safe fitness programs, training techniques, and fitness centre etiquette. The program will also focus on building confidence in the fitness centre, using equipment safely and exercising while building relationships with other teenagers. Be the best you can be. Space is limited. This program also includes the Smart Start for Teens program so teens can use the facility with a membership after this program ends.

- Fitness Experience for Teens: Ages 12-17
A new experience each day during Fitness Experience for Teens. Everything from spin, TRX, HIIT, foam rolling and more. Plus, the inclusion of our Smart Start for Teens program during this fun filled week. After the completion of this program participants will have access to the Tailor Made Insurance Fitness and Wellness Centre and the Christenson Developments Ltd. Track and Training Centre.

Leaders in Training
Come and participate in the Leaders in Training (LIT) program where you will have the opportunity to work with children and gain valuable leadership skills in a recreation setting. Our LIT program gives youth ages 13-17 a chance to discover the benefits of taking on a leadership role while meeting new friends and having fun in some summer camps. This experience will be an awesome addition to your resume as you start thinking about your future endeavours. Youth must be 13 years old or have completed Grade 7 to register for this program.
It is going to be a great summer in the park and you are invited to join the fun! Games, arts and crafts, and water activities are just a few of the exciting activities planned for our summer Cruisin’ Clubhouse program. All sites have qualified, trained program staff to facilitate activities. Parents/caregivers are asked to join in the fun as program staff are not responsible for supervising children at parks.
Children are free to come and go as they please. The program is free and targeted to children over 5 years of age. Programs will run 8 weeks this summer, from July 2 to August 23, 2019. No program on Monday, August 5th.

At 10 new park locations this summer, we are introducing our mobile loose parts playground, called Imagination Stationwagon, that lets children use their imaginations while building their own creations with natural and upcycled materials. Parents/caregivers are asked to join in the fun as program staff are not responsible for supervising children at parks.
The program is free and targeted to children over 5 years of age. Programs will run for 8 weeks this summer, from July 2 to August 23, 2019. No program on Monday, August 5th.
