Lions Park Picnic Shelter

The large picnic shelter is bookable May 1 - October 12, 2026; reservations open 180 days in advance.
The Lions Park large picnic shelter is a wonderful place to celebrate special occasions with family and friends. The shelter is suitable for 50-60 people, has seven tables, and there is no charge for bookings. You may bring your own barbeque as there is no barbeque pit attached to the shelter site. The shelter is situated in the north part of the park (furthest from Sir Winston Churchill Ave).
A smaller covered shelter is also available and is attached to the washrooms. However, it is not available for reservation. As well, there are numerous sites throughout the park that are suitable for smaller gatherings. Each of these sites has a picnic table and barbecue pit; they are all first-come, first-serve.
