Lions Park Picnic Shelter
For those special occasions
Book the picnic shelter using the online form for your visit from May 1 to October 13, 2025. Bookings will be accepted in the order they are submitted, starting March 15, 2025.
The Lions Park large picnic shelter is a wonderful place to celebrate special occasions with family and friends. The shelter is suitable for 50-60 people, has seven tables, and there is no charge for bookings. You may bring your own barbeque as there is no barbeque pit attached to the shelter site. The shelter is situated in the north part of the park (furthest from Sir Winston Churchill Ave).
A smaller covered shelter is also available and is attached to the washrooms. However, it is not available for reservation. As well, there are numerous sites throughout the park that are suitable for smaller gatherings. Each of these sites has a picnic table and barbecue pit; they are all first-come, first-serve.

- Select the date you wish to check by either typing the date out or choosing it from the calendar tool.
- The resulting table will show you that day's availability.
BOOKING PROCESS:
Please complete the Facility Booking Request form. The Lions Park picnic shelter is available from May 1 to October 13, 2025.
