Party Rental FAQs
A selection of frequently asked questions about party room rentals at Servus Place. Please click the questions below to open up the answer.
The facility scheduling associate will contact you within 48 hours (Monday - Friday) of receiving your request form to confirm the date or arrange for another available time.
The rental fee is specifically for the party room, which will be set up with tables and chairs for the number of guests indicated on your party room request form. Any supplies, such as cups, plates, cake knife, napkins, etc., must be provided by the person hosting the party. Wristbands for swimming or using any other public/spontaneous use area of the facility are a separate cost and are purchased at the front desk on the date of the party (drop-in rates apply).
No, you will be allowed into your room only at your booked time, and we will not extend the time if you arrive late. If you require more time to set-up or clean-up, please feel free to inquire about extending your booked time at the time of setting up your party booking.
We ask that food is prepared, packaged and ready to serve when brought into the facility. We kindly ask that no electric appliances be brought into the facility. Servus Place has three (3) commercial food vendors: Skybox Grill, Booster Juice and Starbucks located inside the facility.
Unfortunately, we do not have the space or the staff to manage storage of food/gifts so we do not offer this service at the facility. If you have rented a party room and are having your celebration at the facility, please bring a cooler or thermal bag to store any food items that need to be kept cold/hot and a bag or bin to store any gifts until your room booking time starts.
When you arrive at Servus Place, you may purchase wristbands for your guests at the front desk. These wristbands are good throughout the day - you can play before and/or after your scheduled room rental. If you are only renting an exclusive space for your party (gym court, field) and not playing in the pool, playground etc., wristbands are not required.
They are as follows:
- age 1 years - 1:1
- age 2 years - 1:2
- age 3 years - 1:3
- age 4 years - 1:4
- age 5 years - 1:4
- age 6 years - 1:4
- age 7 years - 1:4
- ages 8 to 12 years
Supervision is required and is dependent on swim ability and size of the group. Supervisors for ages 8 to 12 years may be required to swim if our aquatics staff request it.
The room should be opened for your scheduled rental time. If it is not open, please stop by the guest and member services desk a few minutes before your room time to ask for a facility host to open your party room. It is always a good idea to bring your booking confirmation with you on the party date.
If you want to book a private gymnasium court #3, an ice surface or a field house, we can assist you in making those arrangements; however, these spaces are subject to availability and extra rental fees.
The Water Play Centre (pool), leisure ice (seasonal), indoor playground and gymnasium court #1 are considered spontaneous use areas and are always open to the public with the purchase of general admissions. These spontaneous use areas are not available for private rentals.
The gym court is an hourly rental space, and if you choose to book the floor hockey package (extra fee), it will include: 2 nets, 14 floor hockey sticks and a ball. Protective gear (goalie gear) is not provided, so please feel free to bring your own protective gear!
Indoor shoes are required for the gym court, and no food or drinks are allowed (other than water bottles!).
This package could be combined with a private gym court rental (hourly rate). If you would like to book our dodgeball package (extra fee), it would include 6 dodgeballs. With this package, the person booking the party package is responsible for counting and gathering up the dodgeballs, placing them into their mesh sack at the end of the gym party booking and returning the equipment to a staff member (nets may be left on the gym court).
Indoor shoes are required for the gym court, and no food or drinks are allowed (other than water bottles!).
In the event that you must cancel your party booking, you will receive a full refund (less a $25.00 administration fee) when sufficient notice is given, a minimum of seven (7) business days prior to the party date.
Refunds will not be issued without 7 days' notice.
