Tennis is a great way to stay active and enjoy the outdoors in St. Albert! The City is proud to offer 18 courts throughout the city for residents to practice their drop shot. Find a mixed doubles tourney or a wildcard event and remember to protect yourself from tennis elbow!

In addition to tennis, the City is proud to offer 18 pickleball courts in the City! There are six courts located at Larose Park and twelve courts located at Alpine Park. Pickleball is fun for all ages and is a great sport to play with the family.

The St. Albert Tennis Club offers tennis lessons in the community and has priority use of the Mission tennis site from April 15 to October 15. There are posted public times at the Mission site.

Racquetball, Squash & Walleyball

Grab your gear and swing away for a game of racquetball or squash at Fountain Park Recreation Centre. The facility includes the city's only convertible racquetball/squash/walleyball court and is available for bookings up to one week in advance. The net and ball are included in your rental for Walleyball. For Squash and Racquetball, you will need to bring your own equipment. Clean, indoor court shoes are required in the court.

For more information or bookings, please call 780-459-1553.

Tarmac Areas

Feeling up for a game of outdoor basketball or ball hockey? Maybe you want to practice your hula hoop, skip rope and hopscotch skills! St. Albert has two tarmac areas located at Erin Ridge Park (Erin Ridge Drive) and Deerbourne Park (Deerbourne Drive) that are perfect for these fun activities. The tarmac areas feature basketball hoops, so you will need to provide any other equipment. The use of the tarmac areas is available on a first-come basis, so please share the space if others want to use it.

Spontaneous Use Hours

Tarmac areas are available for use from 5:00 am - 11:00 pm, as identified in the Parks Bylaw.
