Frequently Asked Questions
How can I register?

How to Register from May 30 – June 26

Registration can be completed in person at our Guest Services desks or by phone at 780-418-6088 for Servus Place or 780-459-1553 for Fountain Park. Program information is subject to change during this time period.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express when registering over the phone. We accept cash, cheque and debit/credit when registering in person.

Wait Lists

Waiting lists will be taken for all programs. If a space opens up, you will be contacted by phone or e-mail. If demand is sufficient and appropriate time, space and instructors are available, additional classes may be added. Programs may be cancelled due to low enrollment.

Program Cancellations

In the event that a registered program is cancelled, you will be notified by phone at least three (3) days prior to the start date. In this circumstance, a full refund will be provided or you may transfer immediately into one of our available programs. Register early to ensure your program runs!

Missed Classes

We are not able to offer any make-up classes for missed classes.

As a St. Albert resident, how can I take advantage of the early registration?

If you have taken a program through the City of St. Albert or have a membership for Servus Place or Fountain Park, you most likely already have an account in our registration software and will not need to have your address verified.

If you have not taken a program and do not have a membership, you may need to have your address verified before you can take advantage of the early registration. You can verify your address at anytime at either Fountain Park or Servus Place. We would recommend that you verify it prior to August 3 (and if they do you will be able to register online or via phone on that day) but if you are planning to register in person at either Fountain Park or Servus Place, you can verify it at that point. You will not be able to take advantage of the early registration until you have had your address verified in person.

How do I know if they have an account in your registration software and what city I have listed?

Participants who have taken any City of St. Albert program or who have or have had a membership (annual, monthly or 10 visit) at Servus Place or Fountain Park in the past eight years will already have an account with us. If people are unsure if they have an account or what city they have listed, they can call Fountain Park at 780-459-1553 or Servus Place at 780-418-6088.

How can I verify that I am a St. Albert resident?

You can provide proof of residence in person at Fountain Park or Servus Place; any government issued ID or a utilities bill with name and address on it will work for proof of residence.

Why was this change made?

City Council has received a number of complaints from residents about not being able to get into the aquatic programs they want. At the June 27 Council meeting, they voted to open registration for aquatic programs one week early for St. Albert residents and Servus Place Annual Members. The intent of this decision is for residents to have access to the programs in their community.

What if I don’t own a home in St. Albert but rent a home in St. Albert, do I still qualify?

Yes. If St. Albert is considered your primary residence then you are able to take advantage of the early registration.

Have any other measure been done to help alleviate oversubscription of aquatic programs?

Additional spots have been added to the Fall aquatic schedule to help with oversubscription. Some of these new program spots will be during public swim times; a small area of the pool will be taken from public swimming to accommodate these lessons. This is the first time that swim lessons have been added during public swimming and the change will be monitored and evaluated at the end of the Fall program session. One hour of rental time per week will be reduced to accommodate lessons as well as additional programs added during the daytime.
