Fowler Athletic Park
Fowler Athletic Park is an ideal spot to practice track and field events such as long jump, high jump and hammer and discus throw. The refurbished track is a prime location for runners training for short or long distance events.
Fowler Athletic Park is named after former St. Albert Mayor, Richard S. Fowler, and opened in 1979 as part of the Alberta Summer Games.
Fowler Athletic Park is a municipal facility that is included under a joint-use agreement. The facility is used by the schools, local organizations, and the general public. It is also the home of the St. Albert Track and Field Club.
The track is available for spontaneous public use from 5 a.m. - 11 p.m., as identified in the Parks Bylaw, when not rented or programmed.
The Fowler Athletic Park can be booked for community and private events. To check booking availability:
- Go to our Fowler Track Availability page
- Select the date you wish to check by either typing the date out or choosing it from the calendar tool.
- The resulting table will show you that day's availability for the park/track.
