What's Happening
Come and join Youth in Action and Hugs n' Stitches Quilting Group of St. Albert to learn the basics of sewing, fabric art, and embroidery for quilting. We will be chatting about ageism and how we can work together to combat this societal issue while making quilt squares to contribute to a community quilt that will be displayed in June for Intergenerational Day and Seniors Week 2025.
Connecting Generations is a program led by Youth in Action that aims to bridge the generational gap between youth (15-24) and older adults (50+) through group events and activities. Intergenerational connections are proven to enhance the lives of both youth and seniors in meaningful ways, including building self-esteem, enhancing leadership skills and encouraging a lifelong commitment to volunteerism.
