Join Mayor Cathy Heron in front of St. Albert Place from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. for the proclamation of Treaty 6 Territory Acknowledgement and Recognition Day.
Indigenous peoples of Treaty 6 played a significant role in St. Albert’s founding and growth, have celebrated many achievements and continue to make ongoing contributions to our community. We are coming together through an act of common understanding and shared commitment to work positively together to build a relationship founded on Treaty 6 lands. We wish to express our honour and respect for the ongoing efforts towards peaceful coexistence and shared community.
