What's Happening

Founded in 2014 by the husband-and-wife duo Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter,  The War And Treaty has emerged as one of the most electrifying new acts in American music. Known for their powerful blend of soul, gospel, country and Americana, they create music that radiates love, resilience and unity. Their dynamic performances showcase soaring harmonies and emotional storytelling rooted in personal triumphs and struggles. Since forming in 2014, they’ve earned widespread acclaim for albums like Healing Tide and Lover’s Game, and collaborations with artists such as Zach Bryan and Chris Stapleton. The War And Treaty’s music transcend genre boundaries, celebrating hope, healing and the redemptive power of love through raw, passionate expression. 

They have been recognized by many organizations for their incredible music and have been nominated for several GRAMMY Awards, CMT Music Awards and CMA Awards. Additionally, they’ve won several awards including two Americana Music Awards.

Opening the show is Marcus Trummer. A young artist with an old soul, Calgary-born artist Marcus Trummer blends blues, soul, and rock with a modern edge. Praised by the Calgary Herald as a “precocious guitarist” with vocals wise beyond his years, Trummer earned a 2022 Maple Blues Award nomination for New Artist of the Year and went on to win the 2023 Telluride Blues Challenge. His debut album, From The Start, draws from the timeless sounds of the ’60s and ’70s, showcasing warm, emotive vocals, expressive guitar work, and honest songwriting that explores love and coming of age.
