RFPQ- Utility Contractors for Water, Sanitary, and Storm utility Services and Construction Projects

Description

The purpose of this Request for Pre-Qualification (RFPQ) is to solicit submissions from
suitably qualified General Contracting firms to undertake water, sanitary, and storm
Utility services and construction projects. The purpose of the qualification submission is
to shortlist General Contractors with appropriate experience in safely managing and
effectively executing various water, wastewater or stormwater infrastructure service and
construction projects in built up urban environments. It includes coordination with
residents, working around existing utilities, possible relocation of utilities, and working in
environmentally sensitive locations. The City of St. Albert will evaluate the “Proposals”
in accordance with the qualification criteria outlined in this RFPQ.
The RFPQ is the first stage of a two (2) stage selection process to select and enter into
contract with a General Contractor to undertake water, sanitary, and storm Utility
services and construction projects. The second stage will be an invitation to tender
(ITT) to the pre-qualified Proponents or for emergent work a request for quotation
(RFQ). Please note, occasionally Proponents may be requested for RFQ to provide
emergency services. Following Phase 2, the City of St. Albert will execute a contract
agreement with the successful bidder.
